Dr. Jennifer Meador

Jennifer Meador is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed School Counselor with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. Jennifer is passionate about providing a safe, open, and supportive space for children, adolescents, and young adults to explore, develop, and realize their potential. She respects a client’s subjective experiences and specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, adjustment challenges, and child and adolescent development. Jennifer completed her Master of Counseling (MAC) at Spring Arbor University and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education at Western Michigan University. As a former school counselor and current professor, Jennifer has ample experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate stressors, explore their identity and self-concept/self-esteem, experience relational challenges, trauma, adjustment concerns, and more. Because she believes in the power of the therapeutic …relationship as a way to support clients, she aims to create an honest and safe space, while utilizing multiple treatment approaches, including mindfulness techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy. A person’s life journey is not static, but rather filled with many experiences that elicit excitement, comfortability, hardships, and challenges.
