Dr. Jennifer Robin Messinger, MD

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and admiration for Dr. Messinger. She is, without a doubt, one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, gentle, supportive, reassuring, approachable, and intelligent OB/GYNs in the Pacific Northwest. It is clear that Dr. Messinger has chosen a path of care that is truly her calling, and her work has had a profound positive impact on countless individuals. I am incredibly thankful for the exceptional care she has provided me over the past six years, covering a wide range of procedures in which she demonstrates extensive expertise.

I wish I wrote this sooner but I think I had a hard time dealing with everything that happened. At first Dr. Messinger was nice and appeared to listen. As time progressed her nurse become more attentive then her. This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know enough about how my body should be feeling. I was 8 months when I started to swell up really bad and my face was almost deformed from all the swelling. My blood pressure skyrocketed. Turns out I had pre eclampsia. I kept telling her I started to get really bad headaches but she just told me to take Tylenol. Finally the nurse suggested that maybe I should be induced. She agreed but not until she was back from her skiing trip. Luckily I have a service dog and one night the dog alerted me that something was wrong. We checked my blood pressure and it was high. Called on call doctor and he was shocked when he read my chart that I was not induced. He told me to go to hospital right away. She did not deliver my baby.… ( Blessing in disguise) He had cord around his neck and both him and I were in ICU for 2 days. Dr. Messenger never called. Her nurse did and checked on us. After birth I told her I couldn’t sit, walk or stand and had to roll off the bed. The pain was intolerable she brushed it off as pain from giving birth. It was not that. I had broken tailbone and damage to my spinal cord from epidhural. I would never send anyone to her. Ever! It’s like in her world children magically appear and there is never any problems and if you complain it’s just part of being pregnant. The doctor that did deliver my son was amazing and worked fast to save us both.

failed to take the easy steps to a diagnosis. showed no care or concern and as a result i suffered significantly.

Dr.Messinger has been a kind, thoughtful, gentle, and a well informed doctor. She loves her job and the women who come to her. She has treated me with respect and as a valued client. She has stayed late to perform last minute biopsies. On needing further care outside her office for an irregular breast mass her team has been very supportive about my secondary care. She is the best.

From my first appointment to the appointment I decided to change doctor's she was nothing, but rude. She was not very compassionate, was always in a hurry, she must never have read the chart before she came in because she asked questions over again, as a first time mom she never explained things until I would have to ask her to explain more since I wasn't sure what she was talking about. I always felt like I was a bother to her and that isn't how it should feel when this is your first time having a child and you are excited. I called to asked if I could switch providers and they told me no once you are with a provider you have to stick with them because it causes hard feelings between the doctors, which I think is a bunch of crap. Also when I called the first time to setup my new appointment they didn't tell you that you have to leave a sample everytime you came in which would have been nice to know as a first time mom and the first time in the clinic.

She was so great!! She even stayed after she was supposed to be off so she could deliver my daughter.

Dr. Messinger is wonderful. Having your first baby comes with so much excitement, fear, questions, and concerns. Robin really helped me through all of it. She is knowledgeable, caring, decisive, and so good at her job. She has so many patients because she is that good. Even being one of her many patients, I truly felt cared for. You will want to be friends with Dr. Messinger if she is your doctor. We moved from Spokane, I am only hoping to be able to find someone close to as good as Dr. Messinger in my new town.

I've been seeing Dr. Messinger for 3 years. She worked with me during my pre-natal care and was excellent! She induced me at 41 weeks, the delivery was wonderful and practically painfree. A few days following the delivery I had some unfortunate complications and had to see her every other day for a month. She was amazing, caring and thanks to her exceptional wound care I was able to avoid surgery! Every woman should have a Doctor as wonderful and caring as Dr. Messinger. I can't believe how lucky I got- I just picked her name at random when I called OBGYN Associates of Spokane! Dr. Messinger is the BEST!

The experience with Dr. Messinger has always been great. I am a pregnancy health care provider as well and I am impressed by Dr. Messinger's skill and compassion. I highly recommend her.

I drive a long ways because I value the care and personal attention I receive.
