Under her ‘care’ I just got worse and worse. In fairness I needed a specialist, but the right questions - which were never asked - and the right tests would have saved me a lot of misery. All the concerns I voiced early on were brushed aside. Every concern ended up spot-on. My fault for not changing doctors sooner

I've been a long-time patient and like her a lot. However I have had three awful experiences over the years in situations where I was actually ill and was misdiagnosed, hung up on for calling the wrong line while her receptionist was arguing with her significant other, and a refusal of a common refill which resulted in additional pain and getting more sick.

I've seen Dr. Nizen for more than 10 years now and been almost entirely pleased with her.

I went to Dr. Nizen after having a multitude of unexplained symptoms and being told I needed an internist. Initially, I felt like she was a little overwhelmed or even suspicious, but maybe she was just trying to piece it all together. Which, she eventually did. She was great at testing me for things that made sense. And she eventually suggested a diagnosis that ended up being correct. She sent me to a infectious disease specialist at UPenn to confirm. I appreciate her really listening to my complaints, and even though she didn't know me before I got sick, she ended up trusting me and believing me. I think that is rare.
