Dr. Jennifer C Pichardo

Honestly disappointed, our last visit with her was the final straw. I have nothing but kind things to say about her staff but Dr.Pichardo herself is impatient and unkind. My husband, our three children, and I have been going there for over two years and each time we go its a struggle to get our kids there because they hate it. We moved from Sleepy Hollow NY and switched dentists when we made the move, and honestly it was a huge mistake. My kids, especially my oldest daughter hate going there, she is never patient and always gets very frustrated when my daughter flinches even though my daughter doesn't do it on purpose, she was supposed to get a cavity filled in because it was causing her bad tooth ache and flinched when the doctor touched it, Dr.Pichardo then got mad and said she refuses to do it and that the best thing would be for me to get her somewhere where they could put her to sleep to simply fill in a cavity. I was shocked and asked her why, to which she replied that she just… couldn't 'do it'. My daughter left there crying and with her tooth still bothering her. As it is my kids all get upset when they know they have an appointment to see her so I've decided to move all of us to a different dentist, I'd rather us go to a dentist that is kind to children and patient then to have them scared of their own dentist. It's sad that she has no patience to deal with her own patients. I'd just like to repeat that her staff is not the problem as they are all kind (especially the hygenist), its her.
