Hello my name is Jennifer, (she/her/hers.) My work is informed by many things, including Systems Theory, which is a holistic way of looking at a person's life, and their mental health. Our mental health is affected by much more than the problems that we face or the mental symptoms we experience. Our home life, income, upbringing, education, community, oppression, and marginalization we experience, all affect mental health as well. We all want to regain control of our lives, and live the best life that we can. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Master of Social Work degree and work as a Clinical Therapist for a hospital system. My past mental health work includes clinical work with teenagers, in-home family therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based intensive outpatient work with adults with Post Traumatic Stress Disorders. Therapies that my work is informed by include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therpay, …and Motivational Interviewing. I infuse my work with Mindfulness becuase it is so universal. I am always expanding my skill set.
