Dr. Jennifer L Schroederus, MD

I had been going to Dr. Shroederus for about 5 years and during those 5 years I was wrongfully diagnosed and treated for a mental illness I didn’t have. It took one appointment with my new psychiatrist to finally get an accurate diagnosis. Dr. S spends no time trying to figure out what’s wrong. Many times I myself would suggest a possible solution or medication and she would just go with it! She didn’t even try! Also put me on a med for 3+ years that you’re not supposed to be on long-term because it can cause seizures and dementia(which she never educated me about). Always 15-30 minutes late. She was so over-booked that I could only see her once every other month, even when she would say “okay I’d like to see you in 4 weeks”. Waste of years of my life being misdiagnosed and I can never get that time back. Highly disappointed because I did put my trust in her and she did not help at all.

Do yourself a favor if you care about your mental health and well being and pass on this “doctor”. She has limited knowledge and lacks empathy and compassion. She will turn your back on you in a heartbeat if you have any really issue to work through. Absolutely terrible!

She is a poor psychiatrist. She does not have insight into her patient’s needs. She lacks compassion and follow through. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

Had her for a few years and made great progress with her while she was in Brookfield. I had to switch to someone else who changed my meds and screwed me up, now I'm unable to work and have episodes regularly. I missed Dr. Schroederus!!!! She is kind, understanding, and patient. Wish she came back to brookfield, because no one was as good as she was.

She is a good psychiatrist if you’re doing well, but if you are having a hard time, she is useless and impatient.

Dr. Schroederus is the best in the business.. I have been seeing her for almost 8 years now, and she has helped me get thru some really traumatic situations. She's a great listener, and not afraid to try new things. Very easy going, nonjudgmental and very caring. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found her.

Dr S is the first psychiatrist I've seen, so I was really nervous. She put me at ease right from the start! I was impressed at the time she spent to explain my condition and its treatment. I'm improving under her care. She is extremely caring and compassionate.

I have never experienced such uncompassion and caring from a doctor, much less a psychiatrist. I was 5-15 minutes late 3 times over a period of 3 months and all three times the doctor refused to see or talk to me, and now will not see me anymore- she's firing me as a patient! I understand that being late is inconsiderate, however, I explained to her that I was working very hard on changing this long standing bad habit of mine, somewhat attributed to my mental health issues. She seemed to be understanding at the time, but refused to see me yesterday when I was only 5 minutes late, furthermore, she refuses to speak to me, is sending a letter in the mail discharging me as a patient. I can't believe a doctor in this field could treat a patient this way and raise their anxiety level rather than help it! I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!!
