Dr. Jennifer May Sheppard, MD

Terrible. I appreciated her time in person, but when I was freshly PP in the summer of 2023, and discovered my son was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, she told me she'd submit paperwork for me to have extended leave. She never followed up despite several emails from me. I started reaching out to Kaiser staff to see if they could get her to respond. Finally another OBGYN in office saw my email and called me and immediately told me she would help me. Not only did this other OB help, she gave me the full length of extended leave she could offer versus trying to sign me up for counseling to have them do it (like Sheppard was trying to do). I needed extra time with my son and the extra work required of me to get the help I needed was ridiculous. It was extremely stressful when I was already grieving. Im writing this now because I never did anything about it then when life was so chaotic but it stayed with me. She needs less work on her plate. I really needed help and she didn't even… acknowledge my emails. I do hope she reads this.

One of the nicest, down to earth doctors I've ever met.

Dr. Sheppard has been my primary OBGYN doctor for the last 11 years. She is a friendly and understanding woman. I have no problem asking her any health questions. If, she's not sure herself she'll research the information and get back to you. (via email or phone)

I feel like I'm talking to a trusted friend when I talk with Dr. sheppard. That she goes the extra mile to make sure if there is an issue we get to the bottom of it until we are both satisfied with the understanding of what it could be. Always give enough time with her patience so you dont mind if you you have to wait longer because she giving the patient before you her best also. thank you dr. sheppard
