Jennifer did not take my symptoms seriously. After 15 years of talk therapy, dbt, various medications and half a year of not being able to work, she told me I needed to “modify my lifestyle to reduce stress and depression.” I begged her to test for a somewhat rare condition that could cause high levels of stress and a myriad of other symptoms I’ve dealt with over the past few years. Eventually she agreed to order a test that I now know is completely separate to the condition I was concerned about. Either she is incompetent or she actively neglected my concerns. I felt tricked and not taken seriously.
