I started going to Dr. Steines a few years ago after my physician retired and was happy with her. Last year I noticed she was rather rude and distant but thought perhaps she was having a bad day. This year she was even worse. One example - she told me she wasn't the one who diagnosed me with a specific issue I have and that it must have been another doctor. Yet my online chart shows the diagnosis for the first time in my records with the date of my visit with her last year. Then she proceeded to tell me she's not familiar with a very common proton pump inhibitor (like over the counter prevacid). If she isn't familiar with common stomach medications, OMG! Then they give you a sheet before your appointment if you have any questions. I circled a few items to ask about. Each question was met with "you need to see a specialist." Okay, then don't bother giving me a form to fill out. The whole thing was just a big waste of time and I feel like it was worse than no exam at all.
