Dr. Jennifer Tasevski

Dr. Tasevski began working in the field of dentistry as a high school student when she found a part-time position at a nearby dental office through her health occupations class.  The office happened to be that of Dr. Penny Flury and staff.   Dr. Flury became such a positive influence on her future career choice that she continued her education in the field.  Dr. Tasevski earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and completed her education with a DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2007.  She has continued working at Dr. Flury's office part-time and has particularly enjoyed serving the smaller smiles in the office! Dr. Tasevski also interns at U of D in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. 
You will often find Dr. Tasevski, her husband of 9 years, and her two little girls enjoying all that small-town life in Plymouth as to offer!

Originally from the Bay City area, my dental training …began at the Bay Arenac Skill Center where I completed a Dental Assisting program.  The program prepared me for chairside assisting and office procedures.  After graduating, I was hired at a general dentist office.  There I assisted and ran the front desk.  After my marriage, we moved to the Detroit area where my husband found a job.  I was hired at the University of Michigan Dental School where I worked in the Oral Diagnosis and Emergency Department.  I worked directly with staff dentists and students, helping in anyway they needed with patient care.  It was a large, fast paced clinic and I loved it.
After a break to raise my three children and a four year position in customer service at Hallmark, I found my way back to the dental field.  In 1999 I responded to a Want Ad in the paper for a job in a "no stress dental office", and never looked back.  I work in a beautiful office, with dedicated, hard working, caring co workers and a boss that was once described by a patient as a "ray of sunshine".  That isn't even the best part.  We have wonderful patients!!  I enjoy greeting patients and assisting them with scheduling.  I work very hard to keep accurate patient and insurance information and welcome any questions regarding insurance or billing.
I've lived in Canton for the last twenty years with my husband of thirty three years.  We have three great, adult children and are getting used to the empty nest syndrome.  I enjoy traveling, vacationing at Torch Lake with dear friends, reading and my family.  I'm "Dancing with the Stars" #1 fan.

Needing a break from my previous job as a Police/Fire 911 dispatcher, I came to work for Dr. Flury part time to help fill in until she could hire someone for the front desk position.  I believe that first "fill in" lasted two years. After 10 years of "filling in"  I  took a full time position six years ago as a dental assistant.  I am certified in Dental Radiology and CPR. I enjoy working at the front desk getting to know all the patients and providing clerical support.   I love the challenge of  trouble shooting problems with the computer and I am close to completing the project of turning this office paperless. 
I am the proud mother of three kids, my son Cody is a Marine and after two tours in Iraq I am glad to have him home. He is currently studing criminal justice.  My daughters Kasey and Amy are both  doing the college scene and are both coaches at Troy Gymnastics.   Steve and I have been married for 14 years, we both love to travel and spend time up north at the cabin. I am an avid Detroit Red Wings fan GO WINGS.
