Jenny Reeva-Hoffmann Atias

She is amazing and has been both my girls doctors. I drive over 35 minutes (after moving north) to still go see her!

Im a Modern Mother of Twins, after having IVF, also in my late 30s. The 2 most important aspects of choosing a Pediatrician for me were, 1. Bedside Manner and 2. Modern Knowledge of Pediatrics For Beside Manner, I wanted the following: A) Friendly and playful with my children. Here, I was really impressed. Honestly, I was impressed not just relative to a Pediatrician but with ANYONE who I have ever seen interact with my kids. I know that a Pediatrician is not a babysitter, however the natural anxiety that is caused for one of my children at least, when they visit a doctor or meet a new adult or go to a new place, was essentially nonexistent with "Dr. Jenny" Atias. Realistically, one of my children is a handful and the other one is an angel, and I worry about both of them. I was very surprised to see how intuitive Dr. Jenny was in getting the shy one to talk and explain his own ailments and to try and informally diagnose him for Behavioral and intellectual aptitude beyond… just routine check ups. B) Willingness to deal with ME. I am definitely known as a socialite in Newport Coast. Who our children's doctors are is a big deal. We all like to have a different doctor and compare notes. Doctor Jenny is a little bit younger than my friends' Doctors, but I would say that after having met some of them at the Children's birthday parties or other places... is Miles Ahead, in terms of knowledge of Pediatrics. Dr. Jenny casually discusses modern-day science technique, treatments, problem solving, things to watch out for, diet and exercise, very intelligently. in a way that other pediatricians just don't understand. Dr. Jenny is the type of pediatrician who doesn't really want to have her own practice, rather she likes to work hard for others prove herself all the time. She is definitely top notch in Newport Beach, and all of Orange County in my humbled opinion. Practice location: Avocado Ave, enough said. Easy Parking, elevator views of the Pacific and Spyglass Hill in CdM, and next to Fashion Island for lunch or early dinner after the visits. Facility: Very decked out, custom built facade to loom lime a treehouse or jungle, the kids love it. Separate sick and regular visit waiting rooms. I never saw this as a kid, but it's genius, and I love it. Physician Educational Background: when impressed me most here was not that she got a degree in physiology from UCLA, which is known to be the hardest science major at that school, my father went there as well. Nor was it that she went to UCSD for medical school, which is definitely on par with the best medical schools in the country in terms of difficulty for entrance. It was actually looking at her resume and seeing and she was a doctor for Kaiser Permanente, did her fellowship at UCLA which is extremely difficult to get admitted to, and more than anything a tremendous amount of research. Apparently dr. atias was working in labs for years doing research on genetics, reactions, allergies, and more. That's the kind of doctor I want someone who has a desire to learn about and stay abreast of all the developments. And while it may not seem that important, she told me more than one story about things that may appear to be otherwise simple and meaningless, turning into much more severe diagnosis that fortunately were caught early. Granted I asked her to tell me some interesting stories, never the less she has plenty. I think finally, even though it may sound someone pretentious of me, the fact that she lives in Corona del Mar, actually meant that we could discuss specific places, restaurants, events, and things of that nature. Being local doesn't just mean being convenient rather it means being able to communicate about similar experiences encountered in day-to-day living. Didn't realize that that was important to me, but After experiencing that with a doctor, I definitely felt that it is. if you are looking for a fantastic pediatrician, I'm sure you're going to get recommendations from the gynecologist and obstetrician, from friends, from the family, and from other doctors. Take it for me if you're reading this, it's worth giving her a shot taking your child in for a check-up and seeing for yourself what absolute best service in Orange county is like. dr. Hoffman atias wouldn't even want this review written about her, she's very humble and low-key, very aware and alert, and extremely nice and friendly, almost to a fault. You'd be lucky if she had an open appointment. Good Luck.

Dr. Hoffmann is excellent. She is approachable, friendly and sweet. I take my children to the Coastal Kids practice in Newport Beach and have had excellent experiences there each time. Dr. Hoffmann answers my calls within minutes and always makes it easy to get proper medical care.

Top Notch Pediatrician. Very thorough and personable. Makes treating children easy.

JENNY REEVA HOFFMANN MD is the most wonderful doctor for my child. She takes the time to listen and makes me feel comfortable as a parent. She is very knowledgeable and very kind.
