I have never been so angry at any doctors appointment. I was a patient of Dr. Hulsen’s when he was working with Dr. DallaRiva. I was happy with Hulsen & continued care with him so that when the time came for me to be pregnant, he could treat me and be my L&D doctor. I made an appointment after Hulsen & DallaRiva split for my yearly, and later became pregnant (I took multiple tests at home.) the front desk staff was extremely rude and the person I spoke with sounded slow and dismissive. I went to the appointment anyway and was told I would see Jenny the NP. I have a history of thyroid conditions and POTS. upon arrival I let the first nurse/ CNA(?) know that due to an increase in norepinephrine release at the start of any dr appointments, I prefer to have my vitals checked at the end of the appointment to ensure accuracy. She completely ignored my wishes and recorded an elevated and exaggerated number due to the adrenaline surge. All they had me do was urinate in a cup to confirm… pregnancy. When Jenny entered the room she made me feel uncomfortable. Talking too fast and didn’t check a single thing. She didn’t even recheck my vitals but wrote a fake number on the clinical notes when I went to reread them. I left the office angry and in tears as if Jenny and staff made a joke out of me. The clinical notes also said that I was there due to amenorrhea when I specifically told the front staff I’d taken multiple POSITIVE pregnancy tests. I ended up calling Dr. Dallariva’s office and telling them about my terrible experience & decided to go back there for the duration of my pregnancy and for everything else. I will be telling everyone I can about this joke of an experience and unprofessional nurse. She also did not know that pots is an autoimmune condition/ autonomic nervous system condition and kept referring to it as a cardiovascular issue. That told me everything I needed to know about her incompetence. If you are ever referred to her, RUN and find someone else!!! Would give -10 stars if I could!
