Dr. Jenny K. Lee, MD

This physician dismissed my daughter who was suffering from pulmonary thrombosis. Dr. Lee never examined her symptoms but sent her home untreated. My daughter died. Massive pulmonary embolism. She died. Thanks to Dr. Jenny Lee.

My daughter saw Dr. Lee 4 days before she died. Lee sent her home when this doctor should have recognized the life-threatening symptoms of a Pulmonary Embolism. Misdiagnosed. Missed clear symptoms. Result? DEATH.

I saw Dr. Lee years ago and stopped seeing her because she seemed to not know my history as a patient. Doctors are of course people and maybe she was having a hard time in her life, but I l felt like I was just a number to her and I was not crazy about her bedside manner - didn't find her to be a warm practitioner. She's of course a competent physician, but I did switch to another doctor after several occurrences of feeling like I was treated like a number and not a person.

Dr Lee is the best dr I have ever had. She treats you with respect, gives you time to ask questions, always has the right advice and questions. I trust her 100%. I have been going to her for over 10 years and would not go to anyone else ever! I have never had a bad or negative thing to say about Dr Lee and see her many times throughout the year.

Dr. Lee had horrible bedside manner. She had not read my medical records so I had to educate her on my chronic pain illness. (she did know i was on Medicare) I told her the medication in which I have had severe allergic reactions and medication with severe side effects. The first medication she wanted to prescribe I had a severe reaction and needed to stop use after one pill. This was six months prior at the same facility. I offered suggestions of medication that have worked for the same condition in the past. She said that she only prescribes 2 medication for my condition. The only option given to me was an antibiotic in the same class as another I had to stop after extreme side effects. After speaking with other health care professionals she should have listed to my concerns regarding the medication she prescribed and offered one of the medications I suggested. If i would have known she did not have access to 15 years of medical records at Northwestern I never would have… accepted an appointment with her and would have scheduled an appointment with a doctor belonging to the faculty foundation so that my medical records would have been available and seen by a doctor with more information in treating a common bacterial infection.

I have been seeing Dr Lee for around 2 years and have always found her to listen carefully and explain equally carefully. She gets directly to the point and I never feel she is either going by the book or talking down to me. She has a busy schedule, which is a good sign. I found her empathetic and knowledgeable, and willing listen to questions based on my own research without that eye roll one sometimes gets from physicians listening to the wisdom of the internets...

Overall Dr. Jenny Lee does not want to listen to what you have to say. She knows what is wrong with you and is going to diagnose you however she wants to. She also has this attitude of that she is judging you. She definitely will not make time for you; I do not think patients are her top priority which is odd as she is an internal medicine physician.

Dr. Lee is clearly a competent physician, but she leaves alot to be desired re: her bedside manner. You get the feeling that she doesn't have the time to talk to you or answer your questions. The other staff are kind and courteous. She doesn't have a good bedside manner.

Dr. Lee was rude, unprofessional and did not listen to me. I left her office not knowing what the next steps in my care were. I had a list of quesitons and she walked out in the middle of them. I think the majority of drs. at NMPG are great but she was terrible.

Just about everything that an MD should be. Very personal approach to patients' medical problems. Ease of getting appointments.
