While at NYU, she also achieved a Certificate of Honors in the field of Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. At Columbia University, her thesis in the area of Bone and Mineral Research won an award presented by the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists.
In 2003, she was granted an honorary dental degree from the Honduras National Dental School for her humanitarian outreach work with under privileged children of that nation. Currently, Dr. Zhu is an Invisalign Premier Preferred Provider.
