close minded doctor who doesn't listen, unwilling to accept patient taking responsibility for their own health. He has a staff member who is argumentative and irresponsible toward patient's point of view.

Don't go to him. it's a waste of time.

Hilo is lucky to have such a smart and caring doctor that is really interested in what is happening with his patients.

I've been going to Dr. Kaawaloa for three years and am more than pleased with his care. He always takes whatever time we need to discuss my health issues. He doesn't pretend to know everthing and doesn't hesitate to call on a specialist for an opinion. I'm glad he's young -- I won't have to ever look for another doctor!

This doctor does not have any manners for his patients. I did not feel like he cared about my health problem and was not willing to help me.

Easy to talk with. Good and patient with questions. Never demands compliance with his suggestions, but gives his view of what results may be if I choose not to take his advice.

This doctor does not know what he is doing. He does not care for his patients at all. He makes you feel uncomfortable and thinks excersises will cure everything. It's a good thing that he doesn't automatically prescribe you medicine, but if a problem is there don't assume that it's muscle problems and get a second opinion.

I went in for a general checkup. Doctor Kaawaloa spent over an hour with me and was very thorough. I appreciated his sincere, caring attitude. He seems very knowledgable.

I would recommend Dr. Ka'awaloa to anyone that is looking for a doctor. He was very nice and thorough. I couldn't believe how thorough he was with me. I am so pleased to have a doctor and to have one that is a good one. God bless him.

I was so dissapointed with the visit,I hd to wait for weeks to get this appointment only to get told doc did no chronic pain patients.He did reccomend I go find another doctor for help.
