Dr. Jerem J Mitchell, DDS

     Dr. Jerem J. Mitchell grew up in the Beaverton, Oregon area where he graduated from Sunset High School.  Afterward, he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York City.  Dr. Mitchell completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University where his love for both dentistry and United States history grew.  It was during this time that Dr. Mitchell met his wife Amy.
     Following graduation, Dr. Mitchell moved back to Portland, Oregon to pursue his dental degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University.  After graduating with honors, Dr. Mitchell was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Army and moved his family to Fort Drum, New York.  Here he had the privilege of providing dental care to the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division.
     During his military service, Dr. Mitchell's excitement for dentistry and professional growth continued.  However, he missed providing …dental care to children and families.  After several years of service to his country, he and his family decided it was time to come back to the beautiful Northwest and bring their great experiences from the Northeast with them.  He started working with Dr. Alder in June of 2007 and has enjoyed this unique partnership ever since.  He is pleased to be providing care to all ages once again.
     Dr. Mitchell continues keeping close ties to OHSU's school of dentistry by sharing one day each week teaching dental students.  He enjoys passing on some of his skills and experiences, and seeing the growth of the students as they begin realizing their own talents and abilities.  Dr. Mitchell truly enjoys the dental profession.
