Dr. Axe lives in Middletown with his wife, son, and dog where he volunteers as a team physician for the area high schools.

Dr. Axe came highly recommended by a neighbor who had nothing but good things to say about her experience. I only saw Dr. Axe at my initial visit to discuss my situation and he made me and my husband at ease and well informed as to what to expect. Although Dr. Axe was the surgeon his sidekick Seth Callahan was very much on top of making keeping me aware of the progress I was making during every visit and had an answer to every question I had. Due to scheduling issues I had my last visit a couple days ago with Dr. Axe himself who with his expertise assured me that I was well on my way to getting my mobility back and discharged me. This surgery was a wonderful experience from start to finish including my time spent at the Wilmington hospital where my surgery was performed. Sadly I know I will eventually have to have the same surgery on the opposite shoulder but I fear not due to the confidence I found with this practice. My advice to anyone in need of shoulder surgery, talk to Dr. Axe… before making a decision to go elsewhere.
