Dr. Jeremy Gleeson

Went in to check thyroid. He was very inappropriate in touching me in places that didn't need to be check for thyroid. I was there for a pap smear. Would never go back and see him again nor recommend him. So disgusted.

I had a terrible experience with this doctor. He is a poor listener and is very arrogant and dismissive. The plus is that I now know the difference between radiation and x-rays! LOL

Dr. Gleeson was very helpful in treating me for an over active thyroid. He always kept me informed and was so through in my treatment.

I am surprised at the number of negative reviews. Dr. Gleeson has always been good with my diabetes treatment. It is often very hard to get an appointment and follow up is not always the best, but I have experienced that at most places.

Please disregard that rating---I accidentally clicked on it. I have not dealt directly with Dr. Gleason, but my endo. did consult with him and I was absolutely not impressed by the course of action he recommended for my situation.

After this doctor asked me to take biopsys on my nodules, 2 weeks later I had to call his office twice to find out if the results were back. They told me they were not. Since I had already received a very large hospital bill, I went to the hospital where I did the biopsy, and requested a copy of the results. I complained why they did not send the results to the doctor, only to be told that most doctors including Dr. Gleason has electronic access to all the requested procedures. It has been over one and a half months and no word from Dr. Gleason's office. It is as if he does not care to even explain the results of the biopsy he ordered for me. I am really disappointed, and still waiting.I think this is along time for a doctor to wait to tell you if you have cancer or not. Funny enough, a wrong number message was recorded on my phone from the same organization he works for last week and the person apologizing for calling the wrong person/number

I found his communication was lacking -- he is basically an old style doctor that believes you only need to know when he thinks its right to tell you. He does not appear to me to be knowledgeable about thyroid issues which creep into many of our lives unnoticed. He had a chance to diagnose me with Hashimotos never telling me so - just said we'll wait and watch how the blood test go and then when another doctor diagnosed me quickly after seeing Dr. Gleeson's blood test, his comment was, "well, of course you have Hashimotos, we knew that. " Except...he never discussed it with me. So, in summary -- he is smart and a good doctor - but, in my experience, he did not tell me everything I needed to know in order to make decisions about my life. For these reasons, I no longer trust him.

Dr. Gleeson is a horrible doctor. His staff equally bad. I had a thyroid biopsy this week and have yet to hear from their office. I called the office to see if my results were in and they told me they were not and they would call me in over a week from now. I called the lab because I knew results didn't take that long and they said they sent them my results yesterday and Dr. Gleeson's office had them. Why anyone would lie to a patient when whether or not they have cancer is consuming their every thought. I went to the hospital where I had the biopsy and requested the results and so I have them, thank goodness. When he calls maybe I will say the result before he does and tell him to thank his staff for their dishonesty for me. Prior to this I told him everything I was feeling like swollen lymph nodes and he said lymph nodes have nothing to do with the thyroid I went home only to find on university websites that they are absolutely related. Also he took zero time with me, like he… had one foot out the door the whole time. His staff also didn't get my ultrasound pictures before my appointment as I requested, So frustrated! Already made an appointment with someone else. It will be interesting to see how long it takes him to call me with results I had to get on my own.

When I first saw Dr. Gleeson I had multiple nodules on my thyroid gland. When I tried to talk with him about how I felt and some of the things I'd read, he all but rolled his eyes. His attitude seemed to be that he was the doctor and I was the stupid patient. He totally disregarded my concerns. He told me I should probably have a biopsy but acted as if it was unnecessary and a total waste of time. Because of his attitude I almost didn't have a biopsy and waited four months to get one. Well guess what? I had thyroid cancer. In my opinion Dr. Gleeson is a condescending inept physician. Go see anyone else.

I'd give him him a negative rating if I could. He ran ONE standard blood test for my thyroid, when he could have run multiple. Cost was nothing to worry about since my insurance would have covered all of it. He also waved off my family's history of thyroid cancer and related illnesses. I got a very cold, "see me in six months for an ultrasound". I went to a second doctor and find I have an abnormal cell growth. It's growing worse by the week and he disregarded all but two symptoms out of the laundry list. So thanks for caring, I may have cancer now doctor G.
