Dr. Jeremy D. Richmon

God Bless Dr. Jeremy Richmon. I am so fortunate to have him do my surgery. One cannot find a better doctor. The surgery he performed on removing my 8.5 centimeter Spindle cell lipoma has given me my life back. As a person who distrusts doctors, I put off having my surgery for ten years. I tried getting rid of it through diet and fasting. Two months ago I fasted for eight days and went from 160 pounds to around 130 pounds. The outcome was that my lipoma appeared larger. I had no choice but to have it removed. Before my surgery I arranged and paid for my funeral and reviewed my finances with my daughter informing her of the inheritance she will get if I pass. I met Dr. Richmon and he told me no problem removing my lipoma as he considered it an easy operation, but it would have to be done with general anesthesia and I would have to have a drainage tube inserted in me for a couple of days. I did not like hearing that and I sought out a second opinion to see if my surgery can be done… without general anesthesia and without having a drainage tube. I was able to get a consult with a world-renowned surgeon who pioneered two surgical procedures that are listed in the medical books. When I told this surgeon that I had an initial consult with Dr. Richmon, he told me that he knows Dr. Richmon well and that he is extremely impressed with Dr. Richmon’s skills. It occurred to me that Dr. Richmon is the type of doctor that other surgeons would go to if they needed surgery. He is a doctor’s, doctor. My surgery went so well that I was able to walk, slowly, for five miles, the day after my surgery. I had no pain, no swelling and no numbness, all of which are typical outcomes from the surgery I had. Dr. Richmon is the type of doctor who gives the Boston area and Mass Eye and Ear a first-class reputation on having the finest doctors in the world. How can one not be impressed with Dr. Richmon’s resume. To be a fellow trained head and neck surgeon is impressive by itself but to be a pioneer in minimally invasive robotic surgery and the first surgeon to perform transoral robotic thyroidectomy surgery at John Hopkins is truly remarkable. With John Hopkins medical school being considered to be one of the best medical schools in the country, I was impressed with Dr. Richmon serving as the Director of Head and Neck Surgery Robotic Program and developing a robotics program that is internationally renowned. I was also impressed that Dr. Richmon is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical school. During my hospital stay I met medical students who came to Harvard Medical School just to study with Dr. Richmon. What more can I say. Thank you Dr. Richmon and may God Bless you. You have made me whole again and I will be forever grateful.

Excellent Doctor. Couldn't be happier

I first visited Dr. Richmon for a sore tongue that had a white patch detected by my dentist. Little did I know that he would become my cancer doctor. By luck or fortune, I was treated by Dr. Richmon for stage 1 tongue cancer. Being a non-smoking, non-drinking female, it was a bit of a shock. From biopsy to diagnosis to surgery was less than two weeks. He did not waste any time. Prior to my surgery I checked all the message boards I could find and learned that he is one of the top doctors available at Johns Hopkins, which is one of if not "the" top head and neck cancer center in the country. I visited with Dr. Richmon before my surgery and he acted as though he had all the time in the world for my questions, though I know he has a very busy practice. Not only do you get Dr. Richmon, but you get an exceptional team who supports him through all stages of surgery and follow-up care. Thankfully, my cancer was in a very early stage, so I did not require chemotherapy or radiation.… I am now on a periodic check-up plan with Dr. Richmon of every three months for the next two years.

Dr. Richmon performed a total thyroidectomy on me at Johns Hopkins hopsital and I could not have been more pleased and satisfied with this doctor. From the initial office visit to the scheduling of the procedure and the surgery Dr. Richmon was great. Spent time with me before the procedure, went over everything again about the surgery and also explained everything to my husband and we never felt rushed at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Richmon to anyone needed treating for head or neck issues.

Dr Richmon is tops in treating head and neck cancer and his experience and confidence in his abilities comes through immediately. He takes time to answer all questions & is thorough in his explanations. Completely happy with his treatment recommendations, his attentive staff and the entire experience could not have been better.
