Dr. Jeremy Fred Shapiro, MD

Dr. Jeremy Shapiro joined Boulevard Pediatrics as a full-time pediatrician in June, 2005. Raised in West Los Angeles, Dr. Shapiro completed his undergraduate education at UC San Diego, earning a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and a BA in Political Science. Dr. Jeremy returned to Los Angeles, where he earned a Masters Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology at UCLA and then completed his medical degree at the Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 2001. Following medical school, he returned again to L.A. to complete his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at the Mattel Childrens Hospital at UCLA. Along with the importance he places upon cultivating relationships with his patients and their families, Dr. Jeremy has also maintained a public health focus throughout his career and is actively involved with the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also serves as a medical advisor and writer for one of the nations largest on-line health-related social …networking sites and as of January 2012, Dr. Jeremy became Vice Chief of the Department of Pediatrics and Providence Tarzana Medical Center. Dr. Jeremy has shared his journey with his wife, Nicole, and is the proud father of Lauren, Jackson and Madeline. He currently coaches both girls' soccer teams in the Fall and Spring. Dr. Jeremy is currently accepting newborns but in order to maintain the best patient care for his existing patients, he is unable to accept transfer patients into his practice at the present time. He also is an advocate of using current technology...including e-mail...for non urgent matters.
