Dr. Toomey was super helpful after my husband's first doctor did the wrong surgery and was unwilling to admit or fix his mistake. Dr. Toomey was able to find the mistake an correct it. Which repeated my husband from the pain he was having do to repetative work. Sadly without Dr. Toomey help we are unable to go after the first doctor for his wrong doing. Other then that Dr. Toomey saved my husband from. Life of continues pain. Thank you for what you were able to help us with?

I saw Dr. Toomey the day after visiting St. Lukes, Meridian ER for a hand injury. Although my hand surgeon is located at St. Lukes, he did not have available appointment time. I had not met Dr. Toomey prior to this visit, but I was so impressed by his treatment over the course of three visits (non-surgical), I asked if I could transfer to his practice. He agreed, and I am delighted. Dr. Toomey was personable, kind and took time to explain the issues involved with my injury. I am a professional writer specializing in medical research and analysis for publication. Obviously, I am careful (due to my experience with medical malpractice research) when it comes to addressing own medical needs. I am pleased to confidently give Dr. Toomey my highest recommendation.

I met with Dr. Toomey prior to scheduling my carpel tunnel surgery and he addressed each of my issues and put my concerns at ease. I found him to be friendly, easy to talk to, and he has a funny sense of humor. He explained exactly what he would be doing during the procedure and what I could expect during both the procedure and during recovery. This procedure what done with a local so when Dr. Toomey came in to give me the injection in my hand, he again explained what he was doing, how it would feel, and what to expect. Since I was awake during the actual surgery he talked to me and made sure my hand was completely numb before beginning, and checked in with me a time or two just to make sure I was ok. Tomorrow is three weeks since my surgery and my hand is feeling a thousand times better. No more pain, numbness, or tingling. I have already scheduled my other hand for surgery and I'm looking forward to achieving the same results.

I had cut my hand falling on some soda bottles that I was taking to the trash. Dr. Toomey was the Dr on call and the ER Doc consulted with him and I was told to call his office the next morning. When I did, I was told that he had reviewed my case and he wanted to see me in a week. The ER Dr. took out a piece of glass 2" long, but Dr. Toomey wasn't interested in that or how much pain I was in from the black and blue on my hand and arm, radiating from my thumb. When I met with him, he wanted to do surgery the next morning as he was going on vacation. He did a carpal tunnel that was supposed to repair any nerves that were cut, but my hand was more numb after than before. His surgical nurse said they didn't receive any information from the ER, so it was an exploratory surgery. The carpal tunnel scar looks like an earthworm on my palm, with a bulge in the middle of my palm. I called it botched surgery and in spite of having therapy for 45 weeks at $40 a session, my hand is still… painful, and my thumb and forefinger are still numb. It has been 14 months, and 2 months ago I had to have another surgery to address the pain in my thumb. Had he cared to check that, I might have avoided a year of pain. Although it did bring me some relief as a ganglion cyct had formed from the injured tendon in my thumb.
