Though Dr. Unger is originally from Marietta, Ohio, he, his wife Erica (Brandau) Unger, and their daughter Kiersten, have recently returned to North Canton having been in Columbus, Ohio for the last 4 years. Prior to dental school, Dr. Unger served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Quantico, VA and Washington, DC, which further afforded him temporary assignments in San Diego and Norfolk Naval Bases. Short-term deployments onboard the USS Hue City and the USS Carter Hall exposed him to many challenges and growth opportunities that he brings with him into private practice as a dentist.
Besides having a general exposure to all areas of dentistry as a part of his doctorate training at Ohio State, Jeremy is currently focusing his continuing education in the areas of periodontics and implant dentistry. He understands that …long-term oral health requires a solid foundation. Healthy teeth need healthy gums and bones. "Dentists today must look at our patients as a whole, rather than just treating the problems when they arise. Medicine and technology play a larger role than ever in the services that we provide and give us new information that just wasn't available even a few years ago. If we look ahead and see problems before they start, it is much easier and less expensive for patients to have a healthy mouth and body for their entire lives."
