Dr. Jerina Kapoor was born and raised in Bombay, India and was introduced early in life to medicine by her mother who is an ENT surgeon and an ex-professor of ENT at a university medical center in India.
Dr. Kapoor completed medical school with honors at the prestigious Bombay University. After completing a pediatric residency she practiced in Bombay for 2 years as a pediatrician. Jerina moved to New Jersey, where she again completed a second pediatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. Her special interest when in New Jersey was Infectious Diseases in children.
In 1992, Dr. Kapoor moved to California with her husband (a Silicon Valley Engineer!). She thoroughly enjoys her practice at Pediatric Associates which includes caring for newborns and children through their teen years.
Dr. Kapoor is board-certified in Pediatrics, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is on staff at Good Samaritan …Hospital in San Jose. Dr. Kapoor has been listed for several years as one of Silicon Valley’s “top physicians†in San Jose Magazine.
Dr. Kapoor brings experience and enthusiasm into the care and education of her families.
Her hobbies include reading, travel and music.
