Dr. Jerod B. Patchin, DO

Dr. Patchin listens and cares. If I have a question, I can e-mail him and he quickly answers. I have been his patient almost 2 years and I would recommend him to anyone needing a general physician.

I have been seeing Dr. Patchin for several years now and I can honestly say that he is one of the few doctors that has ever taken the time to listen to me. His nursing staff is excellent and the addition of a PA to his team enables appointments to be made in a very timely manner. Don’t believe the other (mentally unstable?) reviews that say otherwise, he is an excellent physician.

I historically do not write reviews but I feel this important for others to read and form their own opinions regarding my experience with Dr. Patchin. I went to the ER at Providence Hospital in Waco, TX regarding a urinary tract infection and several days later it had migrated to a kidney infection. Dr. Patchin's staff did not follow up with me at all. Prior to this I was hospitalized for infiltrates to my lung and admitted to the hospital and treated for pneumonia. Kayla Davis P.A., is on staff with Dr. Patchin and when I was discharged from the hospital Kayla Davis's staff called me as and it clearly evident that she was reading down a list of a medical questionnaire and I told her that I could hardly breathe and I ended the telephone conversation. Several weeks later I had asked Dr. Patchin to refill a prescription that he wrote and after several days later I called to see what the status and they told me to get his prescription from my pulmonary physician. Several days later… I received a telephone call from his office manager that I should seek another physician. I have only seen Dr. Patchin once. This is my experience with this office and personally I think Dr. Patchin feared that he would held accountable legally for his lack of care. I would not recommend Dr. Patchin or Kayla Davis, P.A., at Providence Internal Medicine to treat my dog, let alone treat a human. They are not reading any medical reports and I'm of the opinion if they did, his office staff could not understand or process the information. I would not recommend Dr. Patchin or Kayla Davis at Providence Internal Medicine to treat my dog let alone a human.

After years of going from Dr, to Dr. In pain, He knew right off what was wrong with me. He is very friendly and takes his time and listens. His nurse is also very friendly and outgoing.

Finally ... a really good doctor who listens, understands, and does whatever he can to help the patient. He's always prompt in getting back to me and very responsive to any issues. Pick him for your family doc. You'll be very glad you did!

When I finally saw Dr. Patchin, he listened as I am a new patient. I was impressed with the questions he asked me and I felt he understood me.

Dr. Patchin truly takes the time to listen and spends time answering all of my questions. I am very confident in his diagnostic capabilities and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family members.

Dr.P was staff on call for MDs. He FAILED after over 1.5:hour to contact patient in timely manner despite 5 reoeated urgent requests. He further FAILED to notify patient if his decision to NOT provide guidance but delayed any further contact for additional hours. Lack of attention raises concern regarding ability to meet needs of anyone seeking physician's care. Obviously, based on his lack if action and choice to not notify patient of his decisions (and his lack of a confident choice) could cause one to pause & consider that being an OD does not equal an MD.
