Dr. Jerold W Shagrin, MD

This man was the absolute worst. He was arrogant, rude and dismissive of me around 14 years ago when I was desperately looking for answers as to why I had been sick my whole life before I wanted to start a family. He essentially gave me the “hysterical girl” treatment and told me I should be grateful I don’t have cancer. I felt so defeated. I’m so fortunate to have found doctors who have heard me, been helpful and treated me with kindness and respect since. They would always ask me who this doctor was but I couldn’t remember his name until I saw my tests in my Beaumont chart today. Where I (unknowingly) DID have autoimmune markers even when I was 30 (too young) I think all autoimmune patients know it takes more than blood to get you a diagnosis. So maybe you need to listen to patients when they tell of their daily struggles and symptoms like my current professional doctors do.

I went to him once years ago and he was saying things on the phone that were inappropriate instead of just getting down to business and giving me my test results that I was so worried about. I'm in need of a rheumatologist again but he is one I would surely pass up. How desperate you would have to be to go to him with so many others to pick from. It's a shame we have these types of dirty old men as doctors but when I met him he was a dirty young man. I can't believe he is still in practice. I had forgotten about him until I ran across him on my computer. He hasn't aged well but still ugly!!!!

Absolutely the best

Dr. Shagrin is an excellent Rheumatologist. He is very courteous and caring. He puts you at ease while helping you learn to deal with your flares. I'd recommend him to any person looking for a new doctor.

Rude, a sexiest, and a thief! This man takes money, or IME's. To detrimen someones life, for A MERE $500, if you don't show it's automaticlly $250, And his real only consern Is that check. If you are ordered to go though a IME, ask for a real M.D.
