If you have mental health issues then your doctor should be mindful of them when he runs late for your appointment, or when you need him to text you, instead of come in for an appointment, because the medication he perscribed is reacting funny to your body. This doctor does not care for his patients. I had to walk out of his office because he was running late, which made me late for my next appointment, and when you’re someone with anxiety, and your doctor knows you have anxiety, he should notify you that he is running late in advance, not when you walk in on time for your appointment that he could have easily addressed over the phone.

Rude and arrogant for a psychiatrist!

DR KAUFMAN WROTE ME A SCRIPT AND I TOOK IT FOR TWO DAYS. IT MADE ME REALLY SICK AND WHEN I CALLED DR KAUFMAN TO SEE IF HE COULD HELP OR WRITE SOMETHING DIFFERENT. HIS EXACT WORDS TO ME WERE IF IT'S MAKING YOU SICK THEN DON'T TAKE IT. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT YOU DON'T JUST STOP TAKING MEDS COLD TURKEY. I BC ALLEN THE PHARMACY AND THEY TOLD ME WHAT TO DO IN ORDER FOR DR KAUFMAN TO WRITE ANOTHER SCRIPT. I CALLED DR KAUFMAN AND HE SAID HE CAN WRITE ME ANOTHER SCRIP BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER COPAY. I HAD JUST SEEN HIM AND PAID A COPAY THREE DAYS PRIOR. HAVING NO CHOICE I AGREED TO PICK UP THE NEW SCRIP. I WENT TO HIS OFFICE HE HANDED ME THE SCRIPT AND I HANDED HIM MY COPAY. NEVER ONCE DID HE ASK HOW ARE YOU FEELING OR ANYTHING. A COUPLE WEEKS LAYER I RECEIVE AN EXPLANATION OF BENEFIT FORM MY INSURANCE SHOWING HE BILLED FOR A 45 MINUTES SESSION IAM SORRY BUT THAT IS NOT RIGHT. ALL HE CARESPONDED ABOUT IS THE COPAY.

Dr. Kaufman should have his license revoked. I'm a breastfeeding mom with depression and anxiety issues. He immediately prescribed me something, ignoring my concerns with side effects--he told me explicitly to avoid looking into potential side effects and pushed the prescription on me regardless of other health concerns. Next, he encouraged me to stop breastfeeding my two month old son, telling me, "there's nothing magical about breast milk;" later, he told me it didn't make a difference to stop breastfeeding now or in six months. I could go on and on but I'll stop. Dr. Kaufman is uninformed and obviously far more interested in pharmaceutical kickbacks than in my personal health and wellbeing. DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR, please.

I have been seeing Psychiatrists since I am a child. I read all the bad reviews about Dr Kaufman but decided it was nonsense and to try my luck anyway. The man will never look at you, smile, show any form of compassion or emotions. At first, I thought, that is not his place to be compassionate or caring as long as the diagnosis was right. But as time went by, I realized that he is simply the most uncaring Dr you will ever find. He prescribed me xanax to be taken everyday and told me that I absolutely can not stop taking it cold turkey. We had an appointment one day and I had to cancel. Obviously, he didn't take it well and has refused to return my calls ever since. What kind of a Dr does that? It shows his lack of professionalism and care. I am now left without medications and all the withdrawal effects. I have never written a review about anyone but if this can help others, then it is worth it. He is clearly, THE worst Psychiatrist there is. Be very careful!

I was going to Dr. Kaufman for almost year. He sees you for 15 minutes, hands you your scripts, makes your next appointment and then hands out his hand for his check. He asks how you are in a monotone voice, but doesn't really care or he tries to tell you your feelings are not legitimate. Cold, rude, uncaring and has NO personality at all. He's a pill mill doctor at best. Do not go see this man. He is the JOKER everyone describes here. The absolute worst!

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO SEE THIS JOKER. He barely listened to any background history, and didn't seem concerned at all to hear if medications were working, or any effects they were having. He prescribed me lithium, and despite my telling him that it was having bad side effects, including paranoia. which ultimately resulted in a BakerAct. Giving him one star is generous.
