Dr. Jerome Ronald Obed, DO

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Dr. Obed missed my skin cancer diagnosis out of pure laziness. I went to him for a skin check and showed him a new growth on my leg that appeared about a month ago. I am a healthy, 32 y/o physician assistant and knew that the growth didn't look right. I told him that it would occasionally bleed and itch (all signs which point to skin cancer). I asked him to biopsy the lesion and he refused to. Instead, he quickly dismissed me and told me it was a fibrous growth and that it would go away after 2 weeks with use of a steroid cream. Obviously it did not go away. I went to a dermatology physician assistant, who after seeing the lesion, immediately biopsied the lesion. The result was squamous cell carcinoma. Had Dr. Obed taken literally 3 more minutes to biopsy it, like I had requested, it wouldn't have been missed. I was one of the last appointments on a Friday and he was rushing to get out of the office. What's also sad is that he had a resident in the… room with him. His resident is learning his poor bedside manner and medical practices. It's scary to think of how many other skin cancer diagnosis Dr. Obed has missed. If you have seen him and have any concerns, I would undoubtedly get a second opinion.

ZERO STARS. Worst experience I've had with a dermatologist. Left me with huge boils all over my body. Won't let me speak with doctor. He wont do a simple skin cancer check after 5 day treatment with steroids. AVOID!

I was referred to Dr. Obed and wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment I entered the office I was made to feel welcome. I was handed a tablet to enter my info and the program was easy to navigate and quickly completed. I was very quickly taken into an exam room and Dr. Obed was in to see me in mere minutes. I had a full body scan, some hand warts and a skin tag removed. Dr. Obed bedside manner was top notch and his staff's was just as good. I was so at ease with this staff and the treatment I received. I was made to feel I was the only patient they had that day, no rushing. Other doctors could take a lesson on how this office is run and how a Dr. should treat patients.

I visited Dr Obed in Fort Lauderdale and was very pleased with his treatment. I recommend him to other people looking for a great dermatologist.

Dr. Obed was recommended by a friend and I'm absolutely grateful that she recommended him. He's very genuine, friendly and you can tell he cares about his patients. He's very intelligent and knew within seconds how to treat my acne. Thank you Dr. Obed for being a great physician!

After 4 dermatologists and an allergy that caused me pain for 2 years , Dr Obed gave a pill instead of the usual creams prescribed by other Dr's . It worked and I will always be thankful .

Dr. Obed is Phenomenal! He is warm & caring with a great personality & extremely Knowledgeable! His staff of medical assistants are all fantastic!

Staff was nice and courteous, office modern, functional and well equipped, and finally dr Obed: who took the time to really understand what the issues were and even helped me rank them in importance to set realistic goals in their treatment. I started seeing results on the first week already, but felt confident about the treatment from the moment we spoke.
