Dr. Jerome Gregory Piontek, MD

Dr Piontek did a replacement on my wife and at the same time treated me for a broken foot. We have both recovered beautifully with no issues whatsoever.Dr Piontek was there every step of the way. I just set an appointment for a hand issue and guess who I called! Only Doctor we will use is Dr Piontek.

Dr. Piontek performed two hip replacement surgeries on me and he is the best. No pain, hips work great. No complaints. If you want someone who is chatty, he's not for you. You're paying this man to do excellent work in surgery, you are not paying for cocktail conversation. He is a man of few words which makes him appear distant and perhaps disinterested. I do not believe he is any of these. If there is one negative, it would be with his staff. They are not the best.

I would recommend Dr Piontek to anyone needing surgery. He is Great!!!

I strongly disagree with the negative comments about his doctor. He's done two total knee replacements on me four years apart and he and his staff were great. He's was a good communicator and I didn't find him arrogant at all. He's also up to date on the latest procedures.

My problem revolves around office staff. I felt numerous times there was no communication. I would call with concerns of symptoms I was having and was told someone would call back, and no one did. I did this for three days. Finally the doctor called back after third day. The following week I had called the office once again to set a time up for procedure as the doctor instructed me to do and I was told someone will call me back, and its now on the third day and still no phone call. I think a new office staff would benefit, or maybe some education on customer service and respect for patients.

Dr. Piontek, If you read your reviews, I'd like to ask you who raised you because I was raised to respect my elders. You were rude, arrogant, and disrespectful to my father and it was totally undeserved. You, dear doctor, need a heart transplant!

Dr. Piontek is serious and reserved but very informative and caring. During all stages of my bilateral knee replacement, he asked if I had questions and answered any I asked courteously and thoroughly. He included my wife in all sessions and considered her feelings as well as mine. He visited me daily after surgery and kept me informed on my progress. My surgery was extremely successful...I walked the same evening of surgery and, as I recover, I have less pain than I anticipated. I would highly recommend Dr. Piontek for any orthopedic surgery! His office staff is efficient and friendly as well.

Better do what Dr. Piontek says, for if you get a second opinion (what we are told to do) he will treat you like your in a third world country. How dare you ever question the great doctor's opinion (the office visit was not free doc).This man may be good at what he does, but his attitude and any empathy for a patient leaves much to be desired, especially those who question any part of their treatment. Sorry, I was a nurse, this guy was just a jerk and his office almost apologized on how rude he was by saying they were sorry. Anyone who puts himself this high over me, the patient, paying the bill, I went to another person who can engage you in conversation and your options.

I had arthroscopy on each knee several years apart, and I found Dr. Piontek to be quiet, kind, a good listener, professional, and confident. He did not rush to surgery but tried some different options before deciding he needed to do arthroscopy.
