Dr. Jerome Segal, MD

This is not a problem with Dr. Segal but a problem with the office. It took me 5 days to get a renewal of a prescription. I started on Monday and called everyday till Friday when I ran out of medication The front office gave me a run around everyday saying they were going to send renewal to my pharmacy. The Pharmacy never heard from them. While at the pharmacy they sent a request for renewal via fax. I checked the phone number with Dr. Segal's office and it was the one the pharmacy was using. On day 5, I talked to the front office and got a run around again. I asked to talk to the Office Manager and they did said that the person was unavailable and to leave a message. I asked who the office manager was and asked if they were in the office. They said yes. I told them to tell the office manager that i was leaving work and coming to the office and would be there in 15 min and expected to talk to them because i could not get the prescription renewed. I was very clear that I would wait all… day to speak to the office manger if needed. I wanted a written script to hand deliver to the pharmacy since they could not get it there. After I said that, the person on the phone got the office manager on the phone. I told the office manager what the problem was and they told me to hold on the line and would be right back. When the manager got back, he said the script was ready for me to pick-up and to come over. Now I know that when I need to get a script renewed, I need to go to the office manager. This is not good customer service.

Dr. Segal is a very compassionate doctor. He takes the time to listen. The wait time in the office is minimal and appointment scheduling is easy. I highly recommend Dr. Segal.
