I began my training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Dental College, where I earned my doctorate degree (DDS) in general dentistry in 1984. I then completed a one year general practice residency in Topeka, Kansas at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. I returned to Omaha to practice general dentistry in south Omaha with now retired general dentist Dr. Donald Fenster. After six years, I left private practice to begin training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I completed a four year residency program at the Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 1995. I then joined Dr. Michael McDermott in the specialty practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1995. I maintain hospital privileges at Methodist Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Bergan Mercy Medical Center, Lakeside Medical Center, Boys Town Hospital and Bergan Surgery Center. I am a member of …the Omaha District Dental Society, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Nebraska Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Association of Implant Dentistry. I became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1998. I am also a member of the Dr. Thomas J. Dobleman Head and Neck Cancer Institute. I am married and have four children.
