Dr. Jerrell Waika Herod

I was referred to Dr. Herod by my Primary Doctor for high blood pressure spikes. He ordered an echocardiogram and carotid artery test. They came back normal, I continued to have HBP spikes just sitting. He told me he didn't want to run any more tests, as they would just find something and I needed to go to my Primary Care Doctor to get prescriptions for Anxiety and Depression!! I switched to a different cardiology practice and the new cardiologist immediately put me on 2 different blood pressure medications and told me I was in stroke territory. He ordered tests. I found out I have parathyroid issues making my blood pressure sky rocket for no reason because of high calcium. My blood pressure is now normal from the medications I've been prescribed by my new cardiologist. Look for a different Cardiologist as you won't get answers or help from Dr. Herod.

This was my first time visiting this office and seeing Dr. Jerrell Herod but the overall experience was one of my best visits. Especially, for a cardiologist office. I usually have to wait nearly 30 minutes, but not this time. I was seen promptly in the outer office and to see the Dr. Bravo!!!

Very knowledgeable Doctor. Took his time to address all my questions and concerns. Very easy to talk to. Very efficient (my new prescription was at Walgreens before I left the office).
