I feel very fortunate to be in this mans hands. He is gentle , kind and has a great sense of humor. I had my surgery 12 days ago and am healing very well . ( looking very good also) They make sure all your questions are answered and problems resolved......and I ask allot of questions .His nurse Zarhra is outstanding. I have a ways to go but I feel so confident I am getting the right care. Thanks Doc Steiner!

Dr Steiner not only saved my life, but he has looked after me whenever I have called from out of state or long distance and seen me right away. He is encouraging and gentle and damned good at his job. I'm so lucky to have found and known him all these years of one breast issue after another.

Personable, warm, professional and kind human being! His care, attention and intelligence felt very supportive and helpful. Everything that was promised was delivered with utmost thoughtfulness.

Dr. Steiner is an excellent and gifted doctor. I have recommended him to many many friends and all were delighted with his skilll, his knowledge and his follow-up.

New to the area, I hadn't found new doctors yet. Suddenly, I needed an appointment right away. I called Dr. Steiner's office and Susie, his assistant agreed that I should be seen right away and sprung into action for someone who had never been to the doctor's office before! She made calls to get me a same-day appointment for a mammogram and told me to come one floor p to the doctor's office afterwards and she would get me in.I was greeted by Susie at the front desk, and escorted to a room by Victoria, an RN who really knows her stuff and was extremely caring toward me which helped me to relax. The doctor greeted me as if I had been his patient for years, did a thorough exam and also taught me a few things about what to look for during a self-breast exam.He then made a follow-up plan. I am SO grateful to this doctor and his staff for taking such excellent care of me right away. This is as good as it gets!

This man is inappropriate, massively arrogant and completely devoid of empathy, compassion and simple manners. I am reporting, in detail, my complete interaction with this unprofessional and inhumane individual to the Medical Board of CA.

I had Dr. Steiner as my general surgeon for a bi-lateral mastectomy in December. Although he promised to take very good care of me he did exactly the opposite. All the way through my chemo Steiner made out that I would be able to keep my nipples and that it was up to me if I had a mastectomy or lumpectomy. I later found out, just prior to surgery, that once he looked over my tests again there was no way I could consider anything else other than a mastectomy. He was uncaring and compassionate when he informed me of such, in actual fact, I had to hear it from my Plastic Surgeon that Steiner had told him he would not be my doctor if I decided to keep my nipples. When I spoke with Steiner on the phone about this he was rude and abrupt. Very upsetting to a woman who has just completed chemo and facing the removal of her breasts. As for his surgical expertise, he hacked my breast tissue out of the healthy breast and was far too aggresive, as stated by other doctors, with the surgery. He went… as high as my collar bone and cut the tissue out unevenly. I now have dents all the way nearly to my neck. Steiner also visited me in hospital the day after my surgery complaining that he was getting the flu. I had just come out of 9 hours of surgery and 6 rounds of chemo and he comes to see me sick, placing me at risk. It's too late for me but I would stronly urge women considering to use Steiner as their sugeon to please find another. This man may promise good care but he delivers worse than much less.
