Dr. Jerry Allen Burns, MD

Only interested in delivering babies. Once you have stated you are done bearing children this doctor is not good at managing womens health. Inappropriate patient education for the presented conditions in patients.

Dr. Burns is the best! He takes time to answer any questions I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable about his work. I used him with my first child and plan to use him again for my other pregnancies and GYN care. He cares about his patients and their wellbeing. Would recommend him to everyone.

Dr Burns delivered my youngest daughter. I went in with my water broke and only dilated to 3 cm. I was about to be induced after spending the night in the Er from 10 to 5 fri night to Saturday morning when Dr Burns said hold on a minute. He did an ultrasound to see why I wasn't dilating. My baby never turned, nor dropped. We were not aware of this, and had he went ahead and induced, there is no telling what could have happened. I didn't want a C Section, but it was the safer choice for my baby. I'm thankful he took the time to take the precautions that he did.

Dr. Burns is an excellent doctor. He delivered both of my babies and really helped me when I was terrified with my first pregnancy. He seems to really care about you, unlike so many doctors, and it seems like he actually enjoys his job, instead of it being just another delivery.You do have to wait quite a while to see Dr. Burns, but every time he apologized and thanked me for being patient, and then he spent as much time with me as I needed him to. I would rather wait longer in the waiting room for a doctor who will spend time with me, rather than get in and out with a doctor who rushes through the visit just to get with the next patient. A few visits were interrupted by a delivery, but that's to be expected with an obstetrician. It made me feel better that he would be the one to deliver my babies, instead of a doctor I'd never met.Unfortunately, his staff is not as awesome as he is. Most of his nurses are ok, but I got the feeling a few of them were talking and laughing about me… behind my back because of some of my less than mainstream choices. The lady who handles the billing can be very rude, and when our insurance provider changed in the middle of the pregnancy she ended up costing us quite a bit of money.

I was a patient for 14 years with Dr. Burns, he delivered my third child. I took my two older daughters to him as patients. After being treated VERY rudely by his office staff, we have left his clinic. RUDELY doesnt even describe how I was treated on the phone by his office assistant. I dont care how good of a doctor you are, I wont allow myself or my daughters to be treated that way.
