Dr. Jerry Nicholas Cavaneau, MD

Dr Cavaneau is one of the most caring and patient doctors I have ever known. He listens to every word and answers my questions. If he doesn't know the answer he will send you to someone else. His nurses and other staff are very sweet too. I like having the patient portal which I use all the time.

I called them last week to see if they excepted new patients. They said yes but you have to give them your name, date of birth and insurance company and that the doctor would have to approve you after he received this information and they would call you back and let you know if they would accept you as a new patient. II was told that she would call me back that afternoon or the next day. I never received a call back accepting or rejecting. I called back a week later and they did not have any information on us. I had to give her the information again and she said she would give me a call back soon. I told her I would not hold my breath. She called me back in 5 min and left a message saying that she did not know the reason but that I was rejected. WOW what a way for a doctors office to run there business. I think that is very unprofessional and certainly not the oath that the doctor took when he received his medical degree. I think the Lord that we don't have many doctors like this in… practice. This was the first encounter I have ever had with a doctor with this attitude. I have called several doctors and nurses that I know personally since this happened and they have never heard of a doctor doing this. The sad thing about this is that we were given his name by another doctor and hospital. I sure hope he rethinks how he does business in the future. I will pray that he does.
