Dr. Jerry Champ, MD

I had an extremely disappointing encounter with Dr. Jerry D Champ. During my grandad's appointment, Dr. Champ didn't even take the time to walk into the room and examine him before proposing to put him on five new medications. When I inquired about the rationale behind this decision, he simply stated that they were meant to prevent heart attacks. My concern grew when I questioned the necessity of these medications, given my grandfather's age (over 90) and his absence of any heart attack for more than two decades. Dr. Champ's response was shocking – he casually mentioned that if my grandfather's condition deteriorated to the point of cardiac arrest, he wouldn't administer life-saving measures since I was hesitant about the prescribed medications. This experience left me with the impression that Dr. Champ prioritizes financial gain over the well-being of his patients. His lack of thorough examination, coupled with his apparent indifference towards my grandfather's health and our… concerns, was truly disheartening. I expected better from a healthcare professional. In the future, I would strongly advise others to carefully consider their options before seeking medical care from Dr. Jerry D Champ.

I felt comfortable with Dr. Champ. He devoted needed time to listen to what I was saying to him. He adjusted his response leaving out terminology I did not know the meaning of and explained on my level. He took the time to explain things I wanted to understand. I feel he was up front in what he was telling me. He is willing to work with me where possible and stay within my best interest.
