Dr. Jerry Fikes
Jerry A. Fikes, D.M.D., M.A.G.D., attended the University of Alabama, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1971 and his D.M.D. in 1975. After obtaining his D.M.D., he practiced dentistry for two years with his father, Dr. R.E. Fikes, in his hometown of Winfield. Next, in 1977, Dr. Jerry Fikes served a general practice residency at the University Hospital in Birmingham. He established his practice in Tuscaloosa in July 1978. Â
Dr. Jerry Fikes is affiliated with the following accredited dental associations: the ADA, AACD, AGD, Alabama Dental Association, Sixth District Dental Society, and the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics. (In addition to standard membership in the AGD, Dr. Fikes was designated both a fellow and a Master of the Academy, achievements which require 1,100 hours of continuing education courses.) Dr. Fikes’ expertise also earned him inclusion in the 2003 edition of Guide to America’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Jerry Fikes and his …wife, Ginny, enjoy ballroom dancing and spending time with their five children. The family enjoys worshiping together and cheering on the Alabama basketball team.
