Dr Jerry Grimes

The worst doctor ever. After a crushing foot injury, Dr. Grimes performed an ORIF and ignored me when I showed him a bone that was still out of place - both before AND after the surgery. I mentioned it and showed it to him again at every single visit. He continued to ignore me until my last appointment 3 months post-op, and said “It looks like I may have missed a bone…come back if you want me to go back in and fix it.” I had to seek out about orthopedist in another town for the repair surgery. Not only had Dr. Grimes missed a bone”, he installed the wrong hardware to hold my foot together. When I filed a complaint with the hospital, they sent it to him to review because he’s the CHIEF ORTHOPEDIST! Needless to say, he was never held to account for his actions and the hospital refused to release my records because they didn’t want to get sued. If you value your health at all, see literally any other orthopedist. I am now crippled with no hope of further recovery.

Excellent care from initial consult to post- surgical follow-up.

Without doubt the WORST doctor I've ever encountered. I had to have surgery to repair a crushed foot during COVID. Dr. Grimes installed the wrong hardware, left out one of the bones from the internal fixation, and installed unnecessary hardware in another location. Despite repeated requests that he address the bone that was "left out", he ignored me until my final appointment - at which point he said "well, it looks like I left one out. No need to return unless you are ready for me to do another surgery"...are you kidding me??? I plead with him for 3 months to address the misshapen foot and he acted like I was crazy. I had to undergo a complete revision surgery with another surgeon and the ordeal nearly cost me my foot! I will walk with a pronounced limp for the rest of my life and he couldn't care less! The hospital agreed that he was in the wrong, but wanted him - as chief orthopedist - to review the complaint! What a joke!! The hospital's ER originally sent me home with instructions… to walk on it as quickly as possible rather than "babying" it. NEVER trust Dr. Grimes with ANYTHING - nor the hospital system who is more concerned with protecting themselves than in caring for patients!!

Met in I C U at Tech. Did treatment for open knee wounds. Got them closed after months.

Not so good I found out that he accidentally severed one of the nerves not happy with him

Loved Dr. Grimes ... He explains everything and the staff is helpful and I had both feet operated on and in so glad that dr. Grimes did the surgery
