Dr. Jerry Joe Hopson, DDS

Bonham, Texas dentist, Dr. Hopson, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1978.  In addition to practicing dentistry since 1978 in Bonham, Texas, he has also obtained Fellow status with the Academy of General Dentistry.  Training and study has been completed at the L. D. Pankey Graduate Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. 
As a member if the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association since 1978, he serves in the TDA House of Delegates.  Representing the Fourth District (North Texas Dental Society), he has been active as new legislative laws have been passed affecting the dental profession and patients.  As a past president of this component society, he has continued to serve on several boards, such as the Rite to Smile which raises money to provide dentistry for indigent care.
Continuing education is a vital part of Dr. Hopson's continual effort to remain current with new treatments and newer …materials that are constantly changing.  As a general dentist there are many different fields of dentistry that general knowledge is important.  If he feels the need for a specialist to be involved with your care, that referral will be made after a preliminary diagnosis has been established.
Professional excellence and comprehensive quality care are goals that have been established and are constantly being challenged to maintain a high level of care.
Dr. Hopson was nominated by his peers in the Texas Academy of General Dentistry as the "Outstanding Dentist of the Year" for 2005.  This was a great honor for him and his commitment to oral health.
In his spare time, Dr. Hopson enjoys his family, Deborah who is his wife and his daughter Morgan.  Also, he enjoys playing golf, raquetball, and riding his motorcycle.
