Great doctor, knowledgeable, takes time as needed.

I am a picky - particular patient. I chose Dr Jacobs in year 2007 not knowing then that he would suit me. But as years have passed I know I lucked out and chose the right Doctor who listens to what I need to tell him and in return I listen to his input and we agree together what course of treatment he advises. He is not a stuffy white coat Dr.

As far as my family is concerned, Dr. Jacobs is the best all around family physician in Florida. Can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Jacobs has been my physician for over 2 years. He is a very nice man, but the quality of his service has declined over the past 2 years. I understand that people have bad days, but my last two visits prompted me to write to NOT RECOMMEND him as a physician. Today he came in and talked to me about my BP problem which was not my problem. He confused me with another patient. He did not know my x-rays had come in for an injury he checked just four days ago. He also did not know my labs were in which was the nature of my visit today. He printed only half of my lab report, and I had to ask for the whole report to be printed. He mentioned a third prescription drug I should be taking, and I had to remind him that HE decided months ago that I should not take the medicine. I asked what my BP was and he did not check and said it was GOOD. My previous visit was not much better. In summary, if I am going to be charged for a visit using his expertise, he needs to review my records… before he comes in the door to check. I do not recommend him based on my past few visits.

Dr Jacobs is a caring and thorough doctor striving to give his patients the best care possible. His staff, on the other hand, could be better. Every time I have to speak to Tara on the phone, she is loud, often rude and condescending. She could probably use some medication to level out her mood, or definitely work on her people skills. T

Worst doctor ever! My mother, husband, and brother in law all have gone to him. He is the most condescending, rude , arrogant person I have ever met. He has an obsession with smokers. He is not concerned with his patients health at all. My mother had bronchitis, she went to the same doctor for 30 years and he retired so she ended up going to Dr Jacobs. She gets bronchitis a lot and her doctor would always prescribe the same medicine, not this one. He didn't want her medical history from her old doctor. How do you know what someone's medical treatment if you don't know their medical history?? He will not refill your prescriptions unless you bring in your prescription every visit. He should have your prescriptions in your files. He was not concerned with her being sick only whether or not she quit smoking. First words out of his mouth. Then he wanted to know why we were in his office and not at the ER. Stupid for us to think her doctor could give her medicine to make her better. He… proceeded to tell us to go to Oak Hill Hospital because none of the other hospitals are any good. Then my husband needed his blood pressure medication changed so Dr Jacobs called and told him if he quit smoking it would help his blood pressure tremendously, he has never smoked!!! This doctor is the absolute worst and I would avoid going to him at all costs!!

He's the only doctor that has listened to my concerns and is trying to help me. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have had the privledge of being a patient of Dr. Jacobs for many many years. I even moved away from area for 5 years, and came back to have him as my primary. Old school, sits with you, has a conversation, is actually interested in your care. Respects your opinion. Great Doctor, very fortunate to have him.
