Dr. Jerry Sim Putman, MD

One of the hardest things I've ever done was to confront this wonderful Christian man 12 years following a perceived wrong, and his response was the best it could have been given the circumstance. At the time of the offense, I was the 25 year old young single patient of another OB for whom Dr. Putman and other OB voluntarily saw patients while their own OB underwent and recovered from multiple emergency heart procedures. That alone says something about him. Following my office examination, Dr. Putman listened to a parent outside the exam door to concerns regarding due date conflicts with my sibling's wedding. He re-entered the room and proceeded to pull my mucus plug, helping to speed delivery before the wedding date the following week. I never knew that was done, only that it hurt. The next day I went into labor, and when called Dr. Putman came and delivered my baby, after dealing with broken water pipes at his home. It wasn't even his day on call. Again, showing what a good… man he was and is. 12 Years later I was referred to him for a diagnostic procedure, and afterward privately confronted him. His response was, "I'm sorry, I don't recall it." Had there been no doubt, I'm sure that any other practitioner would have denied it absolutely, but this man had the courage to take care of me, the patient, when prior actions might not have 12 years prior. I am certain that at ll times he took actions that he perceived were in the best interests for all concerned. And he was man enough to passively take responsibility if the mark were even slightly missed for the primary patient. This is a rare quality among fallable human healers. I highly recommend him, without reserve.

He is the best doctor. He is very caring and interested in his patience and does what is best for his patient.
