I was a patient that payed a total of over $50,000 for inpatient treatment for 3 months. During this time I witnessed one patient drowning in a bathtub due to over medicating and die, and not too much later a second patient died under similar circumstances. I was in treatment with a cocaine addict who dr rand thought it would be a great idea to treat him with FENTANYL 100mcg/ hr patch... this is the strongest opiate available that he gave to A COCAINE ADDICT- Dr. Rand and his brother are also addicts, so they would write me a prescription for 150 40mg OxyContin (in rehab) and 2 days later change my meds.... this was a very shady way of dr Rand being able to have access to any medication at any time on his patients dime.... (thousands actually) If you’re looking to get high and do it legally- dr Rand is your guy- you just have a 50/50 chance of getting out alive, but if you truly want to get clean and start a new life- forget these names: Bay Recovery, Dr. Jerry Rand

Dr. Rand charged several medications that I did not take to build his own pharmacy. In one month over 2,000 was charged and that is with great insurance. I still have all the paper work to prove it.He and the people that work at Bay Recovery,lied to my family about me. Dr. Rand was inappropriate and a really rude.I would really look into his past before you put anyone in his care. It will speak for itself.

He ruined my life by telling my family I was an addict and alcoholic, even before I ever met him. I had to stay at his group homes for 2 months, telling my family I was not "recovered" enough to go home after the agreed upon 1 month. I couldn't take it anymore and left after the second month against his wishes (and $30,000 per month)

I worked for Dr. Rand He is an amazing and very smart man.. I witnessed many patient come in with addiction, and leave clean sober and happy and continued the sober life style, Dr, Rand change many peoples lives, I now work for another recovery center and it is a poop hole compared to what bay recovery was. I'm sure a lot of people are struggling with miss diagnosed pain right now with Dr. Rand not around to give the right diagnosis.. Shame

I AM SORRY TO EACH AND EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU WHO HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AT BAY RECOVERY CENTER. BUT LETS CLEAR UP SOMETHING FOR THOSE WHO WERE INPATIENTS DR PRESCRIBED THE MEDS BUT THE STAFF AT THE HOMES GAVE THE MEDICATION TO EACH OF YOU, IF THE MEDS WERE TO STRONG ALL HAD TO DO IS LET SOMEONE KNOW HE WOULD HAVE ADJUSTED THEM RIGHT AWAY SECONDLY A LARGE AMOUNT OF THE PATIENCE WOULD MED SEEK EVEN AFTER THERE ROUTINES WERE GIVE THEY WOULD COME BACK LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ADDITIONALLY TO GET THEM TO WHERE THEY WANTED TO BE. NOW I CANT SPEAK FOR WHAT TOOK PLACE AFTER I STOP WORKING THERE BUT I LEARNED EACH OF MY RESIDENTS AND HAD NO PROBLEM TELLING THEM NO. I READ ON HER THAT SOMEONE DIED IN ON OF THE HOUSES THERE WAS AN CASE WHERE SOMEONE DID DIE BUT ONLY AFTER SHE BROKE INTO THE MED CABINET AFTER THE DAY AND EVENING STAFF HAD GONE FOR THE NIGHT AND ONLY THE ONE HOUSE MANAGER WAS THERE. I HAVE SAID ALL OF THIS TO SAY EVERYONE PLAYED APART IN THE SITUATION DR RAND WOULD HAVE GLADLY REDUCED… YOUR DOSES IF IT WAS BROUGHT TO HIS ATTENTION. I CANT SPEAK TO HIS HIS " ADDICTION" I NEVER SAW THAT SIDE OF HIM. BUT I DID SEE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE COME THERE WITH THE PURPOSE OF GETTING BETTER AND THEY DID

I went to several specialists. I was suffering. He turned it all around.

All the comments regarding any issue of wating, you must admit when it came your time to see Dr. Rand - you were his most important patient to him at that moment. His time and expertise was my time. He would not be rushed when it was my time with him. He did see an emergency patient while I was with him. If I had an emergency I would want him to do the same for me.The most knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated, sought after as a lecturer for his knowlege in pain management, caring MD I have ever encountered. When other pain management MDs in and around his area were interviewed all stated their respect for his knowledge and expertise in the area of pain management.
