I was referred to Dr Mike in 2012 by my orthopedic. I was desperate with out of control pain. Dr Mike and his staff have worked very hard over the almost 4 yrs I've been seeing him! When one plan didn't work, he would suggest another treatment. It has always been my decision on what treatments I will try or not. I'm very pro active with my medical treatments and Dr Mike is very understandING and never makes me feel uncomfortable about my decisions. I would recommend Dr Mike to anyone that has acute pain and has lost hope that there are still Dr's that care and treat you with respect and dignity! All his staff, from his PA, nurses, to the resceptionist, are always friendly and professional.

Three months ago my mother was taking enough pain medicine to put a 1200 pund HORSE on the ground. Today, (under a new doctor) she has cut that amount down to 1/3 and is completely off her pain pump. No thanks to Dr. Stanton, my mother was only one pill away from her life being over. My mother unfortunately had Dr. "Mike" as her pain management doctor for too many years! He never took the initiative to even measure her pain. He did however, intimidate her into believing that she would never come off the pain medicine. After her 3rd back surgery she sought a new Pain Management Doctor ( a real Doctor with credentials and residencey to prove it). Dr. Mike acted like a child. Telling her "not" to take any other medicine from another doctor, and that she "must" keep her pump filled with narcotics or it will go bad in her. When she told him she was going to have the pump removed he was overcome with anger at her. He threatened her that "only he" could remove the pump that she… "signed a contract. The new doctor assured her that the pump would be fine empty and if need be they could fill it with saline until the new doctor could remove it. There is no contract. This doctor still calls my mother 2 months later, Reminding her that her prescriptions are ready to be refilled and that the pump is "over due" its filling. He is not a real doctor (MD). ODs are people who could nit make it into medical school. He is an over zealous anethesiologist!!! Nothing more! He only preys on people who are in desperate need. He does not help them he slowly takes their life away. Beware....do not go to him or let anyone you care about go to him. Beware of this review site as well, they will not allow harsh words to be used. The review I have written is truthful, however, I was limited to the real telling of it.

I have had good experience with office staff, nurses, and surgical center. I had Excellent results from my surgery and very happy with treatment received.

Dr. Stanton is Great & his staff is Great also. The only Dr.that we have ever used that returns your phone call with in 15 to 30 min. Tom & his medical nurse is Great to. All of his staff is Awesome. Thank you all so much.

I had been going to this physician for years and after a problem with marijuana I felt I was poorly treated or even punished by being made to wait or having the doctor act very short, hateful and judgmental. One weekend I had a problem with the pain pump they installed after a surgery to refill it. I was made to wait from friday evening until monday morning in extreme pain from withdrawals. There was a kink in one of the hoses of the pump and they didn't even appear to take any fault for the pump having done this. "It just happens sometimes" they remarked. They being the staff. Which wasn't an issue aside from their willingness to correct the problem in a timely manner. I was seen at an ER and Dr. Stanton told them to release me when another of the staff was most assured they would at least keep me for pain observation. The assistant was shocked to find the next day when calling the ER that Dr. Stanton had ordered my release and expressed this in a phone call to me.

If you are looking for a physician who is professional, courteous, has a great "bedside manner", is caring and who has the highest degree of moral integrity both in the office and in surgery, you should see Dr. Mike Stanton. I have been seeing him for several years, now. He is the best and truly cares about his patients!
