Dr. Jesse A Mytinger, MD

I am only 17 years old and simply can not walk and am in daily pain due to Dr Jesse and his “care” which absolutely left me worse off than when I came to him seeking help. I wish every single day that I would have chosen a better doctor. Jesse performed 2 surgeries on me within 5 months and each surgery left me feeling worse! I had an infection after the second surgery and Dr Jesse was on vacation and when we called him he told us he thought there was a stitch left in there and instead of sending us to see a doctor, he told us to try to dig it out with tweezers at home. As time went on and I tried to return to normal life, what I thought was just post op pain never went away. I quickly realized I needed help from a much better doctor because Jesse was clearly not helping me but only making me worse. I have now been to 8 doctors trying to find answers and they all are confused and disappointed with the way Jesse handled my case. These doctors have confirmed that he has left me with… nerve damage and shaved too much of my bone causing me to be in pain EVERY DAY at ONLY 17 years old! I have been to pain management specialists, physical therapy, been on multiple medications for nerve pain, have had several shots, and painful tests done to try to find some way to help me. I have heard from many doctors that there is a chance I may never get my normal pain free life back. I am getting surgery next week which is my last hope to find some relief. I just hope that people see this before choosing to go to Jesse because nobody should have to go through what I have in the past year because of a bad doctor!

I went to see Dr. Jesse after a fall that happened about 6weeks ago. As a health care worker who works with all types of surgeons, especially orthopedic, I should have trusted my gut when I saw their X-ray machine was on the floor outside a patient evaluation room & left. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. An X-ray is an X-ray right? Oh no, not at all! He put them up & they were so hazy it looked like smog. He said “you probably tore a tendon. Go home prop it up & ice it.” He put a piece of roll off pressure “sock” ( I have never in my career witness a dr cutting a piece of a compression sock off of a roll). I grew it away as soon as I got home- AFTER- stopping at Walgreens to purchase my own that was $20 & 1000 times better. My foot was getting worse & a dr recommended a QUALITY Dr. in Pittsburgh. I went yesterday & my foot is broken in 3 places! I need surgery to have it repaired as the bones are kind of “floating “ on the top of my foot. I have many medical issues that makes… surgery a little more risky but I have been through other surgeries & still kicking- pun intended! Dr. Jesse did recommend physical therapy but I refused. I knew something was really wrong as I cannot bear weight on the pad underneath the toes. The orthopedic dr immediately put me in an orthdic boot to stop further damage. If I don’t have the surgery- the bones will bond at a strange angle & cause more damage. I went to a podiatrist- Dr. Jesse- as I broke my toes on my right foot. She unfortunately went back to Philadelphia. I urge anyone to listen to what your body is telling you. I gave Dr. Jesse this info & more as I work in the field. He reminds me of the vet I took my cat to last year & described symptoms & had video. The vet still loved himself too much (like Dr. Jesse) & thought people who don’t have a dr title are always wrong! I took my cat to vet Vet hospital & if I didn’t - he would have died. That office said animals can’t talk. True- but neither can people with dementia. It comes down to a Dr.- any Dr. to look at the info & listen to what the patient CAN tell you. Don’t ever let a Dr like Dr Jesse make you think you are overreacting! Your body is telling you that for a reason!

I am sorry to those having bad experiences. Dr Mytinger is to me a lifesaver! Excellent manor. Extremely well at explaining my situation. After care from my surgery was excellent. I highly recommend Dr Mytinger to any one in need of diabetic foot needs.

He said that i needed an amputation of my leg. My pcp suggested i get a second opinion and also recommended hyperbaric tx's. I got the tx's the correct antibiotic. 2 yrs later, i have my leg! I had a broken foot and he let the bones heal, with one piece on top of the other. after a couple mths the top bone fell off and now a have a huge bulge on the side of my foot. I just feel so bad for the poor people who didn't get a second opinion and they lost their leg. Instead of helping my feet, he ruined them! i can go on & on. I'm finished with him!! And what if i said yes to the amputation?
