I have been a longtime healthy patient, until recently, but if you need follow-up care, don't see her. Bedside manner is great, long wait times, but between the lack of follow-thru with referrals/authorizations for specialist, procedures, or medication, and questionable billing practices, this is not the doctor for you. It's bad when the medical assistant calls a specialist, in front of you, which you thought was for an appointment for you, to confirm her husband's appointment instead. A big HIPPA violation. When still trying to see specialist, you find out that after 11 emails with office, still no appointment with said specialist.

Dr. Jessica Allan helped me after a difficult cancer surgery that left me with a 30 lb. weight gain. She is encouraging and intuitive, and if I hadn't seen her, I would never have recovered fully. She's honest, she smart, she's sensitive about issues that are difficult to discuss. Great doctor. Nice staff and office.

Negative Star if possible. Dr. Allan WAS my doctor until last week. I had a migraine and took my last pill, I got a rebound migraine the following day, and she REFUSED to call me in a prescription for 1 pill. She has a policy that you have to have a physical first. I agree, but this was an emergency, and I made an appointment for the following week, and she still refused. I had to commute on the NYC subway system in rush hour with a migraine, throwing up. Thank you Dr. Allan.

This office has improved over the years. However, they will bill you for the slightest of requests. I asked for another referral to a specialist over the phone. They billed my insurance for a full office visit. They also want to charge you for an office visit to get test results even when the results are negative. If I want to go over the results with the doctor then that is acceptable. But it not, I should be able to get that information over the phone without paying. Thankfully, I am in pretty good health, so I don't have to go to her office often. My advice - If you have several health issues go to another doctor.

Just ordered tests based on what I said without performing any exam. I had to have tests which resulted in diagnosis of cancer. She never contacted or followed up on the results of my tests (2 series in 2 wks). It didn't matter as I knew I didn't have confidence in her so I got them directly from the radiology center. I had to chase her terribly via phone and email to get her to give me my diagnosis (I knew she had it as the radiology center told me she did).

Very down to earth, ready to talk to physician who is willing to take the time you need to discuss a problem and come to a decision together about next steps and solutions. She listens, takes suggestions and honors your need s.Administration isn't the office strong suit, but they are willing to be as responsive as possible, when you get through. Getting through by phonecan be challenging . calling back....as many times as necessary...works better than leaving a message.

I should have listened to the reviews that everyone said about Dr Allen being nice, but the office staff being a disaster. They never followed up on blood work and when I called to follow up I was given confusing advise from the receptionist who upon me questioning her freaked out and berated me. She gave me to her manager which she should have done in the beginning and he was even worse. They were both so ghetto and so rude to me that he wound up ending the conversation by saying you should find another doctor and hung up on me. I am a healthy 28 year old who was just questioning why the doctor would prescribe me vitamin b12 shots when she didn't have the results from the blood work. That would be 4 more visits @ $40 co pays + 4 weeks of shots if I could just take a vitamin. Something is seriously wrong with all these people so I am telling you just go to someone else I wish I did.

Don't bother with her. The office staff is pathetic
