Summary

As your doctor, I understand how valuable your time is. And I want to let you know how much I appreciate the time you take to be as healthy as you can be. To thank you for all your hard work, my colleagues and I have developed My Doctor Online to make it easier for you and your family to get answers to your questions and take care of many of your health care needs. Background

I was raised in Sebastopol, CA where I graduated from Analy High School. I attended UC Davis on a track and field scholarship where I earned my degree in exercise physiology, became an All-American track and field athlete, and had my first exposure to sports related injuries (my own). This is where my passion for understanding the musculoskeletal system began.

Seeking an education in which I could pursue this passion, I moved to Texas where I attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. An Osteopathic physician is trained to see the whole person, the relatedness of its parts, and the human body’s capacity to heal itself. Choosing a specialty was my next challenge and the choice to become a physiatrist was a perfect combination of my interests and skill sets. Physiatrists (specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or PM&R) specialize in restoring the function of the musculoskeletal system.

I returned to California for residency training in PM&R at my Alma Mater, UC Davis Medical Center. This is where I learned to treat spinal, neurologic, and musculoskeletal and sports related injuries with the ever present goal of maintaining function and reducing pain.

I believe in a multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted approach to healing making Kaiser Permanente the perfect place to practice my passion for healing and educating. Kaiser offers the opportunity to provide preventative and high-quality care to my patients. I specialize in pain management, muscular and joint injections, electrodiagnostics, non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine, stroke rehabilitation, spasticity management, and amputee care.

My philosophy of health care is education. Understanding your condition allows you to make informed decisions about managing pain and how to prevent progression of disease. I look forward to being a part of your health care team and thank you for choosing Kaiser Permanente for your health care needs.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
