Summary

I was born and raised in the bay area and my path to becoming an emergency physician has been an adventurous one. I completed my undergraduate education in Accounting at the University of Southern California. Go TROJANS! I worked as a CPA for a few years before realizing that I wanted to go to medical school. This realization led me to New York where I completed my postbaccalaureate premedical program at Columbia University. I loved living in Manhattan and was fortunate to be able to attend NYU School of Medicine. I met my husband, Ray, in New York and we enjoyed our wedding in Central Parks Tavern on the Green. I moved back to California to complete my internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose and my final stop was UCLA where I completed my residency in emergency medicine and also gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Samantha Madison. I am so excited to finally be back in the bay area with my husband and daughter. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, watching USC football games, exercising, and enjoying the outdoors. I chose the specialty of emergency medicine because I love the diversity of patients that I encounter on a daily basis and the fast pace of the emergency department. I love the fact that as an emergency physician I have the opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of both my patients and their families at a time when they are most stressed and vulnerable. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008. Kaiser Permanente emergency department patients benefit from our computerized medical records allowing the physician to quickly become familiar with the patients medical history as well as their Kaiser personal physician. This integrated information system, and the ready availability of specialty consultation, easy access to imaging and laboratory studies, and the continuous effort to improve our quality and service are some of the reasons I choose to practice with Kaiser Permanente. One of the great aspects of working as emergency department physician at Kaiser is the fact that my patients have the opportunity to obtain the follow up they need with their primary care provider following their emergency department visit quite easily. The coordination of care with your personal providers helps me bring the best of Kaiser Permanente to you.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
