I went I in for a consultation for a cyst on my hand. She was over an hour late, when she walked in she saw the look on my face, and said "do you have a problem with me?" I should have responded with what I felt but I let her off. She was out of line, it would have been better if she'd at least acknowledged the fact that she was late. In the end she removed the cyst without a problem, but I would never go back to her.

Amazing experience, so glad I went to Dr. Brown! She just excised a thrombosis from my index finger, stitched me up, and sent me on my way! No nonsense, yet personable and fun! Santa Barbara lucky to have such a great hand doctor, in my opinion!

I was very impressed first of all with the efficiency of the clinic. I was surprised each step how short the wait time was. I traveled from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara because I have arthritis and developed a cyst on my knuckle. My doctors all said to leave it alone. It grew for a year and was interfering with use of my hand and was also painful. Dr. Cohen-Brown lanced the cyst and gave me cortisone shots. I felt immediately better. I would recommend this doctor if you ever have a hand problem.

Dr Cohen-Brown was rude, abrasive and lacked empathy. I was sent to her with a work injury and she entered the room with a demeaning attitude which only got worse when she dismissed my symptoms and made inappropriate, offensive and politically incorrect remarks. She also misdiagnosed me and gave me invasive shots that did not help. AVOID!

I have dupuytren's contracture. Brown operated on both my hands a number of years ago. Both hands were left scarred and deformed. Later I hand two additional operations by two other hand doctors. They both said her work on my hands was the worst they had ever seenAvoid her.

Dr. Brown has a very pleasant "bedside" manner, is thorogh, very courteous and genuinelly interested in the patient. I would recommend her for orthopedic care to anyone.

Have had several joint correction surgeries - Dr. Brown's care, when compared to other surgeons, was outstanding for the following reasons: consistently thorough exam - excellent follow through - complete dedication to return of optimum function - apppropriate attention given to the relief of pain

I had a previous horrible experience with a surgeon and was very wary of having surgery. She set my mind at ease, didn't push the process and then took great length to ensure my surgery had no problems. It was refreshing to have a surgeon who I felt actually really cared that I was okay and that the outcome was perfect.

This doctor was exceptional with my surgery. Interestingly a good friend had the same surgery from another So. Calif. doctor and has healed much more slowly. I have a perfect outcome with no need for pain killers nor therapy.

This woman missed humanity the day it was taught in medical school. I was misdiagnosed, lied to, ridiculed and ended up walking from my hand surgery in 2004. I would recommend avoiding this doctor at all costs.
