Dr Jessica M Frakes, MD

Dr. Jessica Frakes is an Associate Member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Frakes completed her Radiation Oncology Residency at the University of South Florida / Moffitt Cancer Center. Her clinical expertise encompasses the use of radiation therapy to help patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, rectal and anal cancer. Dr. Frakes is dedicated to a personalized approach in designing advanced radiation techniques that include MRI guided adaptive radiation therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), as well as liver-directed therapies such as radiation embolization. Her research interests include improving outcomes and decreasing toxicity utilizing genomics and radiomics for the treatment of …gastrointestinal cancers. She is dedicated to the advancement of multimodality treatments and the expansion of clinical trials. She is also the Program Director for the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at Moffitt Cancer Center.
