Dr. Jessica Hyang Gorr, DO

So thankful to have Jessica Gore as one of my.physicians. She’s thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Her staff are superb. Thank you all. I’m blessed to be under their care. Sallie Sheplee

Dr. Gore was personable and very hands on in diagnosing my ongoing back issues. She was the only Dr to give me a cortisone shot that gave me relief. I highly recommend Dr. Gore.

My husband has been seeing them for a few years now regarding joint issues that require injections on a sporadic basis. His insurance is medicare and a supplemental plan. EVERYTIME we go they insist he pay what they calculate as his co-pay. EVERYTIME the money they collect is too much and we have a credit on our account. EVERYTIME we have to call several times and make a request to get a refund for our credit balance and it takes several months. Right now our account has a credit balance and they refuse to send us a check because they are still processing another claim, which is also overpaid. If you don’t agree to overpay them they say they will refuse to see you. Isn’t this a violation of the terms of their contract with either Blue Cross and Blue Shield or Medicare? If it isn’t it should be.

I don’t understand why Dr. Gorr and her practice get bad reviews. I’ve been to her office twice. Her staff is incredibly friendly and Dr. Gorr herself is a pleasure. Please don’t read into the bad reviews. Dr. Gorr, her staff and her practice are incredible. If you’re going to her for the right reasons, then you will be completely satisfied.

Due to Gorr's decision to take three days off, three days worth of patients were scheduled into one. I sat in the last chair available before it became standing room only. I have spinal stenosis with numbness and burning down both legs, along with fibromyalgia. I waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Walking to the exam room was so painful that I began to cry a little. When Gorr entered the room, she became extremely defensive when I explained I was crying from the pain of sitting for so long. She actually said she had no control over how many patients showed up. I've never seen a health care provider lose their composure like that. I ended up apologizing to her for being in pain and commenting onthe wait time! My final visit with Gorr was an even worse experience. I told her I was applying for SSDI and needed her assistance. I had lost my job 4 months earlier because of my health problems. She acted appalled and said I would just get worse if I was approved. Then, the… kicker..."if you are alive, you can work." I realized I was in the wrong place, speaking to the wrong person, one who had no empathy whatsoever and wouldn't care if I lived or died. If I had one, I wouldn't let her treat my pet rat. Find someone else.

I made appointment to see Dr Gorr , i told staff i had 4 back surgery and moved from nj to nc . i just need my medication i have been taken since my surgery;s that the doctors said to take in nj for my chronic back pain . When i went to office i was seen by Sharon Nelson pac . Before she even sat in her chair she stated you are on lot of medication . Then she trying to sell me 600.00 back brace , the she tells me to have facet injections , if she read my medical record she would have know i had the shots already and they did not work . When i told her all i need is my medication she said I don't know if i will give you your medication. I then told her i paid 460.00 out of pocket , She then lowered my medication after my wife told her we lower it just before we left nj. She did not care what we had to say . She tells my wife if we have any problem with her the medication call and we can come on .. Went home had few sleepless nights so my wife called the office so she can fix… the medication . i arrived in her office she then started with the back brace and shots , i stated i was doing good past 2 years on the medication ,can i just go back on that . She said ( you don't tell me what to give you ) Then she said are going to take the shots or not I said NO. She then refused to give me my medication . I called the cops to have a report to get my money back.. She then puts in my medical record lies , by saying i threaten staff , doctor if i threaten someone why wasn't the cops told we they came there . IM the one who called the cops not her or her office .. Also she says i threaten a doctor i never seen a doctor Sharon nelson is NOT a doctor the 2 visits i was there i was calling her doctor i thought she was doctor Gorr she never once told me she wasn't Dr Gorr. She has violated my medical right by putting untrue statements in my medical records . The next day i called Dr Nichols office I talk to shawn . I told him what happened at Dr goers office he said i heard worse there ' everybody who goes there has a problem and they wind up as our patient . At this time Shawn tells me to get my medical records to Dr Nichos and we will help you "' we are nothing like Dr gorr office we not like them all all ".. I drop my medical record off and told Shawn i be back first i have to go back to nj for 3 weeks .. When i came back to n.c. i called Dr Shawn to make appointment he then says Dr Nohols will not take you as a patient . i ask why would not give me a answer or let me talk to the doctor. Now I'm not able to find a doctor on the outer banks because of the lies in my medical record i have now filed with ncmedboard.org

Let me say that I am not one who leaves comments or reviews, but after my last two visits with this "doctor" I thought I was in the twilight zone. She degraded me in front of my wife and made me feel like a drug addict for even being there. Useless testing and treatments that do not work! Please avoid and beware!!!

Dr Gore is empathetic and she really does care about the patient. I love here. She has helped me enormously She hears every word I say and has been a great thing in my life.

She is too fast in examining and questioning a patient.

This doctor has the worst bedside manor, personality and attitude I have ever uncountered. The new PA is a carbon copy of her boss. Neither of these women should be in any type of service career.
