Dr Jessica Nelson

Dr. Jessica Nelson received her bachelor’s degree from New York University in neural science and then attended medical school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, receiving her medical degree in 2010. She completed her psychiatry residency training in the Department of Psychiatry at TTUHSC Lubbock and ultimately remained faculty in the same department for seven years, achieving the title of Associate Professor with Tenure. While on faculty she served as the psychiatry residency program director and the medical director for behavioral health at Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Children’s Hospital. She has extensive experience in general adult psychiatry, adult inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and substance use disorders.
